I am very pleased that young Christians, the creators of the Virtusica application, offer to all those who want to engage in the adventure of building a better world through the process of self-improvement and cultivation, in today's technological age, a tool for shaping the Christian spiritual life through positive virtue building, that is, those qualities that help a person to become good and increasingly able to know, appreciate, and do good. For a Christian, faith in Jesus Christ and his redemptive role is a prerequisite for a virtuous life and access to other graces from God. Without this faith, the pursuit of virtue would slip to the level it was before the coming of Our Lord, to the level of proud pagan proof of one's own uniqueness.
Virtue is a medicine, but like any medicine, when taken at the wrong time, in the wrong place, and without thinking, it can eventually do more harm than good. Reason is the steering wheel and leader who judges, measures and evaluates how to proceed in building virtue.
Wisdom without good works is a denial of the teachings of Christ. No matter how much we learn about the philosophy of life, without practice, the soul cannot continue on its path to salvation - which is the opposite of wisdom!
